How to Create and Add a Game Server Login Token

A Game Server Login Token (GSLT) is required for your Euro Truck Simulator 2 server to appear in the Steam server browser. This guide walks you through generating one and applying it to your server configuration.

Before you start: You need a Steam account to generate a login token. The App ID for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is 227300.

Generate the token

  1. Log into your Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your server if it is currently running.
  3. Open the Steam Game Server Account Management page.
  4. Enter 227300 as the App ID.
  5. Enter any text in the Memo field to identify this token.
  6. Click Create to generate the token. Copy the token string.

Apply the token to your server

  1. In the game panel, click Configuration Files.
  2. Open the config file using either the Text Editor or the Config Editor.

  3. Locate the server_logon_token field.
  4. Paste the token you copied and save the file.
  5. Start your server.

Troubleshooting

  • If your server still does not appear in the browser after applying the token, verify the token was created with App ID 227300 and that your server is fully started.
  • Each token is tied to one Steam account. If your account is VAC banned, the token will be invalid.
  • You can also configure the lobby name and other settings in the same configuration file.
