How to Reinstall Your Counter-Strike 2 Server

Reinstalling your Counter-Strike 2 server resets it to the default state it was in when you first received it. Use this when your server is corrupted, badly misconfigured, or you want a completely fresh start.

Before you start: Reinstalling deletes all server files except backups. Download any configuration files, maps, or plugins you want to keep before proceeding.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. Keep the Default values option selected, then click the Reinstall button to confirm.

The panel will delete all current server files, download a fresh copy of the CS2 server files, and install a default configuration. This process may take several minutes depending on file size.

Once complete, your server will have a clean default install. If you previously had a GSLT configured, you will need to re-apply it. See adding a GSLT for instructions.

Troubleshooting

If the reinstall appears to hang, wait at least 10 minutes before contacting support. Large game file downloads can take time depending on server load.
