Steam Update Window Shows a Blank White Box

If the Steam update window in the game control panel appears as a blank white box, the cause is typically an unsupported browser version or antivirus software blocking the window. BitDefender is a confirmed cause of this issue.

Troubleshooting

Try a different or updated browser: Switch to a current version of Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. An outdated browser may fail to render the Steam update window correctly.

Check your antivirus software: Temporarily disable or update your antivirus software, then reload the control panel. BitDefender is confirmed to block this window. If the issue goes away with antivirus disabled, add an exception for the Host Havoc control panel domain or switch to a different antivirus solution.
