Create and Restore Server Backups

The control panel automatically attempts to create a backup every night at 2:45 AM. Backups typically contain save data and settings files only. You can also create manual backups and restore from any saved backup at any time.

Before you start: Stop your server before restoring a backup to avoid file conflicts.

Create a backup

  1. Log into the TCAdmin control panel at Game Control Panel.
  2. Open your game service.
  3. Click the Create Backup icon in your server's control panel.

Restore a backup

  1. Log into the TCAdmin control panel at Game Control Panel.
  2. Open your game service.
  3. Stop your server.
  4. Click the Restore Backup icon in your server's control panel.
  5. Select the backup you want to restore from the dropdown list.
  6. Click Run.

Download a backup

Backups are stored in the Backups folder on your server. You can download backup .zip files using the File Manager in the control panel or an FTP client.

Note: you cannot upload files directly to the Backups folder.

Restore a downloaded backup zip

If you have previously downloaded a backup .zip and need to restore it:

  1. Use an FTP client to upload the .zip file to your server's main root directory.
  2. Open the File Manager in the control panel.
  3. Right-click the file and click Extract.

Extracting a large backup may take a few minutes to complete.
