How to Install the ARK Server API and Plugins

ARK Server API (ArkApi) is a plugin framework that adds server-side features beyond what Steam Workshop mods provide. You install the API from the panel, then add individual plugins. If you also run Workshop mods, set those up with how to add mods.

Install ARK Server API

  1. Log into the game panel.
  2. Click Non-Workshop Mods.
  3. Click Install beside ARK Server API. It is now installed on your server.

Upload plugins

  1. Find a plugin in the ARK Server API plugins directory.
  2. Using the File Manager or an FTP client, go to ShooterGame/Binaries/Win64/ArkApi/Plugins.
  3. Upload the plugin into that folder, then restart the server.

Note: ArkApi plugins run on the server only. Players do not need to install anything to use them.
