How to Enable Crossplay on Your ARK Server
Crossplay lets Steam and Epic Games Store players join the same ARK: Survival Evolved server. You enable it by adding the -crossplay parameter to your command line, then restarting. Once it is on, players on both stores can follow our joining your ARK server guide to connect.
Enable crossplay
If you already have a custom command line, add -crossplay to its Additional Parameters field and restart. To create one:
- Log into the game panel and open your ARK service.
- Click the Command Line Manager.
- Open the Custom Commandlines tab and click New.
- Scroll to Additional Parameters and enter:
-crossplay
- Save the command line, then click Select on the right. The server restarts automatically.
Disable BattlEye if players cannot connect
Some crossplay setups need BattlEye anti-cheat turned off. In the Command Line Manager, click Select on your command line, choose the No BattlEye option, then save and restart.
Warning: Disabling BattlEye lowers anti-cheat protection. Only turn it off if Epic players cannot otherwise connect. Crossplay does not change your passwords, so check them in your server passwords.
