Is Palworld Crossplay? PC, Xbox, PS5 and Mac (2026)

Yes, Palworld is crossplay. Players on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Mac can play in the same world. Pocketpair added crossplay back in update v0.5.0 in March 2025, and it's still part of the game today, in the full 1.0 release that left Early Access in July 2026 and the patches since.

How crossplay works in Palworld

You can play together in two ways, and crossplay works in both.

In a co-op world, one player hosts their own world and up to three friends join, so 4 players in total. The world is only online while the host is playing.

A dedicated server runs the world on its own, so nobody has to keep the game open. Pocketpair's server guide says dedicated servers have crossplay turned on by default for the Steam version, Xbox and the Microsoft Store PC version, the Mac version and the PS5 version. A dedicated server holds up to 32 players.

Can Xbox and PS5 players join a dedicated server?

Yes, as long as it's a community server. Pocketpair's guide says that to join from the Xbox or PS5 version, the server has to be set up as a community server, which is a dedicated server that also shows up in the in-game server list. PC players can connect directly with the server's IP address and port instead.

Host Havoc's Palworld servers show up in that in-game server list, so Xbox and PS5 players can find yours there and join. The list doesn't always load every server on the first try, so if yours isn't there, give it a moment and look again. PC players can skip the list and join with the IP and port.

Which platforms can a server allow?

The server setting CrossplayPlatforms decides which platforms can connect. By default it allows all four: (Steam,Xbox,PS5,Mac). To allow only the Steam version, for example, you'd set it to (Steam). That also blocks Microsoft Store PC and Mac players. Our Palworld server settings reference lists it with every other setting.

Does Palworld have cross-progression?

Not officially. Pocketpair hasn't announced a way to move your character or world from one platform to another. The crossplay update did add the Global Palbox, where you can store Pals and move them between worlds, but that doesn't carry your whole save to another platform.
