Is Conan Exiles Cross-Platform? Crossplay on PC, PS5 and Xbox (2026)
by Rafael S.
Not yet. As of 1 November 2026, PC, PlayStation and Xbox players can't play Conan Exiles together. On 27 October 2026, Funcom announced that Conan Exiles Enhanced is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027, with full cross-play to follow soon after that launch. Funcom hasn't said yet whether PC is part of it.

What Funcom announced
In its 27 October 2026 announcement, Funcom says Conan Exiles Enhanced, the Unreal Engine 5 version that came to Steam in May 2026, will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027. If you own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, the upgrade is free.
The crossplay part is one line: "Full cross-play is coming to Conan Exiles Enhanced – soon after launch." Funcom doesn't list the platforms and doesn't give a date.
What we don't know yet
If you play with friends on other platforms, two questions matter most, and Funcom hasn't answered either of them:
- Does "full cross-play" include PC, or only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S?
- Will crossplay work on private and rented servers, or only on Funcom's official servers? Funcom says more details for private server hosts will come closer to release.
We'll update this post when Funcom shares more.
Enhanced and Legacy are separate versions
Conan Exiles now comes in two versions. Enhanced is the UE5 version, and on PC it's only available on Steam. Legacy is the original UE4 version, which is what Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and console players have today. Steam owners can switch to Legacy in Steam's game version settings.
Funcom says your game version has to match the version of the server you join. So even on PC, a Steam player on Enhanced can't join friends on the Epic or Microsoft Store versions. The Steam player has to switch to Legacy first.
Options for a group split between PC and console
Until crossplay arrives, each platform plays separately. What your group can do depends on where everyone plays:
- If everyone plays on Steam, use Enhanced or Legacy, whichever your group prefers.
- If everyone is on PC but split between Steam and Epic or Microsoft Store, use Legacy, the version all of you can run.
- If your group is split between PC and console, there's no way to play together today.
- If your group is split between PlayStation and Xbox, that's not possible today either.
What this means for Host Havoc servers
Host Havoc's Conan Exiles server hosting is for PC players: Steam for Enhanced, and Steam, Epic and Microsoft Store for Legacy. Console players can't join our servers today. You switch between Enhanced and Legacy in the control panel, so a mixed Steam and Epic group can run Legacy, and every plan includes Steam Workshop mod support.
If crossplay ever reaches private servers, we'll update this post and our server page. For more on the UE5 version itself, see our Conan Exiles Enhanced (UE5) update post.
Moving to Enhanced on PS5 or Xbox
Funcom's announcement covers what happens when consoles move to Enhanced:
- PS4 owners get Enhanced on PS5 for free, and Xbox One owners get it on Xbox Series X|S for free.
- Crom Coins, Bazaar items, DLC and Twitch Drops carry over. Crom Coins stop working in Legacy once Enhanced is out, so Funcom suggests spending any you want to use there first.
- Single-player saves convert one way. Once you load a save in Enhanced, it won't open in Legacy again.
- Official Legacy servers for the Exiled Lands move to Enhanced, and characters, followers and bases stay. Official Isle of Siptah servers merge into the Exiled Lands, and Siptah bases can't be kept.
- Legacy stays available on consoles with critical bug fixes only, and without official servers or the Bazaar. You can still play it in single-player or on private servers.
FAQ
Is Conan Exiles cross-platform between PS5 and PC?
Not today. Funcom plans full cross-play for Enhanced after the early 2027 console launch, but it hasn't said whether PC is included.
Can Xbox and PS5 players play Conan Exiles together?
Not today. That may change with the cross-play Funcom plans for Enhanced, which comes after the console launch in early 2027.
Can Xbox and PC players play together?
Not today, and Funcom hasn't said whether PC will be part of Enhanced cross-play. If you play through PC Game Pass, you have the Microsoft Store PC version, which runs Legacy and can play with other PC players on Legacy.
Will my save transfer to Enhanced on console?
Single-player saves do, one way only: once a save is loaded in Enhanced, it won't open in Legacy again. On official servers, characters, followers and Exiled Lands bases carry over, but Isle of Siptah bases don't.
Will private servers get crossplay?
Unknown. Funcom says more details for private server hosts will come closer to release.
