This is a brief article reviewing the process of adding yourself as an admin on your 7 Days to Die server hosted by Host Havoc.

 

Method 1 - Manually via the config file

Step 1: Login to your game control panel

Step 2: Click on Configuration Files.

Step 3: Open serveradmincustom.xml by clicking Text Editor to the right.

Step 4: Find the line that looks like this "<!-- <user steamID="76561198021925107" name="Hint on who this user is" permission_level="0" /> -->"

Step 5: Replace XX with your Steam64 ID.

Step 6: Once added, you will need to remove <!-- and  -->" so that the line looks like this "<user steamID="76561198021925107" name="Hint on who this user is" permission_level="0" />"

Method 2 - Via the web console

Step 1: Login to your game control panel

Step 2: Log into your online web console (details are configured from the config file)

Step 3: Type "admin add <playerID> <permission level>" (replace playerID with player's GUID and 0 for admin or 1 for moderator)
