How to configure the Purge on your Conan Exiles server

This article will cover the steps needed to tune the Purge system on your Conan Exiles server. The Purge is Conan's late-game NPC raid mechanic — waves of NPCs attack player bases.

Step 1: Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your Conan Exiles service.
Step 2: Stop your server.
Step 3: Click on Configuration Files, open ServerSettings.ini in the Config Editor.
Step 4: Configure:

Key settings:

Setting   Default Notes
Enable Purge   True Master toggle — False disables the Purge entirely

Restricting Purge:

Setting   Default Notes
Restrict Purge Time   True Master toggle — False disables the Purge Restrictions
Weekday Start Time   0000 Time the Purge will start on weekdays, time in 24h format
Weekday End Time   0000 Time the Purge will end on weekdays, time in 24h format
Weekend Start Time   0000 Time the Purge will start on weekends, time in 24h format
Weekend End Time   0000 Time the Purge will end on weekends, time in 24h format
Restrict Weekday Start   0000 Time period to restrict the Purge start between on weekdays, time in 24h format
Restrict Weekday End   0000 Time period to restrict the Purge end between on weekdays, time in 24h format
Restrict Weekend Start   0000 Time period to restrict the Purge start between on weekends, time in 24h format
Restrict Weekend End   0000 Time period to restrict the Purge end between on weekends, time in 24h format

Step 5: Click Save and start the service.

Purge tier (difficulty) scaling:

Purge tier scales with the player/clan's level and activity. Even at Purge Level 6, low-tier players only get tier-1 Purges. The difficulty cap is a ceiling, not a floor.

Tips:

  • PvP servers: raise difficulty to keep raiding pressure high.
  • No-Purge servers: set Enable Purge = False.
  • Always set restricted hours if you don't want overnight purges destroying offline players' bases.
