How to Change Your Vintage Story Server Name

Your Vintage Story server name appears in the public server list and helps players identify your server. You can update it any time through the Config Editor in the Host Havoc game control panel.

Change the server name

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Click the Configuration Files icon in the left sidebar.
  3. Click Config Editor next to the servconfig.json file.
  4. Locate the server name field and enter your desired name.
  5. Click Save & Exit.
  6. Start or restart your server for the change to take effect.

Your updated server name will appear in the server browser after the server finishes starting.
