How to Reinstall Your Vein Server

Reinstalling your Vein server resets it to the default state it was in when first provisioned. This is useful for resolving persistent issues that cannot be fixed by changing configuration files alone.

If you want to troubleshoot before taking this step, review your server settings first.

Before you start: All server files will be deleted except backups. Download any files you want to keep via FTP before proceeding.

Reinstall the server

  1. Log in to your Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. Keep the Default values option selected and click the Reinstall button to confirm.

The panel will delete all existing server files, download a fresh copy of the game server files, and install a default configuration. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the game files.
