Remove Carbon from Your Rust Server

Carbon is an alternative modding framework for Rust. If you want to switch to uMod/Oxide or return to a vanilla setup, use the steps below to remove it cleanly. To install uMod/Oxide afterward, see Install uMod/Oxide.

Steps

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to your Rust server.
  3. Stop the server.
  4. Click the ...More option and run the Remove Carbon Files script.
  5. Once the script completes, click Update Server Files to re-validate and update the server files.
  6. Start your server.
