How to Connect to Your Myth of Empires Server via FTP

FTP gives you direct access to your Myth of Empires server files, making it easy to upload configs, download backups, or troubleshoot issues. We recommend FileZilla as your FTP client.

Before you start: Have the Game Control Panel open alongside FileZilla.

Find your FTP credentials

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Locate the FTP Info section near the middle of the screen. You will see an IP address and port in the format 167.114.172.201:8821.

If the panel shows SFTP Info instead of FTP Info, prefix the address with sftp://, for example: sftp://167.114.172.201:8821.

Connect with FileZilla

  1. Paste the FTP address (including the port) into the Host field in FileZilla.
  2. Enter your Game Control Panel username into the Username field and your panel password into the Password field.

  3. The Port field will populate automatically when you paste the full address from the control panel.
  4. Click Quickconnect to connect.

Once connected, you can browse your server files in the right-hand panel in FileZilla and transfer files by dragging them between the local and remote panes.

Troubleshooting

If the connection is refused, confirm the FTP address and port are copied exactly from the control panel and that your server is online. If you need to reset your panel password, do so from within the Game Control Panel before retrying. You can also reinstall your server if files become corrupted and need a clean reset.
