How to Set Up Automatic Restarts on Your Mordhau Server
Scheduling automatic restarts keeps your Mordhau server running smoothly by clearing memory and applying any pending updates on a regular basis. The Game Control Panel's Scheduled Tasks feature lets you configure restarts on a daily schedule or at repeating intervals.
Before you start: If your server is running in a non-local time zone, check the panel's time zone setting before scheduling so the restart fires at the time you expect.
Create a scheduled restart
- Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
- Click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the left-hand side.
- Click New at the top of the section, choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New directly below that section.
- Enter a name for the task so you can identify it later, and make sure the Enabled box is checked.
- Set Type to Daily to restart at the same time each day.
- Set the start date and time for when the restart should occur.
- Click Save.
Repeat every few hours
If you want the restart to run multiple times per day (for example, every 6 hours), open the Advanced Options section after step 6 and enable Repeat Task, then configure the repeat interval before saving. The example below shows a task configured to repeat every 6 hours across a 24-hour period with the Repeat Task option checked.
Troubleshooting
- If the task does not fire at the expected time, confirm that the time zone shown in the panel matches your local time zone.
- Advanced options such as waiting until the server is empty before restarting are available under Advanced Options when creating or editing the task.
