Change Your Garry's Mod Server Name

The hostname is the name players see in the server browser. It is set in your server.cfg configuration file. You can also add a country flag to your listing in the same file.

Steps

1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.

2. Click the Configuration Files module.

3. Open server.cfg in the text editor.

4. Find the hostname setting and change its value to the name you want displayed.

Example:

hostname "My Garry's Mod Server"

5. Save the file.

6. Restart the server.

Your new server name will appear in the server browser after the restart.
