How to Set Up Automatic Restarts for Your 7 Days to Die Server
Scheduled restarts keep your 7 Days to Die server running smoothly by clearing memory and applying any queued updates automatically. The game panel's Scheduled Tasks feature handles this without any third-party tools. You can also update your server's name as covered in changing your server name.
Steps
- Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
- Click the Scheduled Tasks icon in the left-hand menu.
- Click New at the top of the section, then choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart.
- Click New directly below that section to create a new task.
- Give the task a descriptive name and make sure the Enabled checkbox is checked.
- Set the type to Daily to restart at the same time every day.
- Set the start date and time. This is the time the restart runs each day.
Note: The panel uses the server's time zone, not your local time. Check the panel time zone settings if the restart fires at an unexpected hour.
- To repeat the restart multiple times per day (for example, every 6 hours), expand Advanced Options, enable Repeat Task, and set the interval.
- Click Save.
