How to Set Up Automatic Restarts on Your Valheim Server

Scheduled Tasks let you automatically restart your Valheim server on a daily schedule or at repeating intervals. This keeps the server fresh without manual intervention.

Steps

1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
2. Click the Scheduled Tasks icon on the left-hand side.
3. Click New at the top of the section and choose Scheduled Start/Stop/Restart, then click New directly below that section.
4. Give the task a descriptive name so you can identify it quickly. Make sure the Enabled box is checked.
5. Set the type to Daily to restart at the same time each day.
6. Set the start date and time. This is the time the restart will occur every day. To ensure the time matches your time zone, check your game panel time zone settings.
7. Click Save.

Repeat every few hours

To restart more frequently, such as every 6 hours, expand the Advance Options section after saving and check the Repeat Task option. Set the repeat interval to your preferred frequency.
