How to Add Yourself as an Admin on Your V Rising Server

Becoming an admin on your V Rising server requires two steps: adding your Steam64 ID to adminlist.txt via the control panel, then authenticating in-game through the console.

Before you start: Find your Steam64 ID at steamid.io and keep it ready.

Add your Steam64 ID to the admin list

  1. Log into the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Open the Configuration Files section and locate adminlist.txt.
  3. Click Text Editor.
  4. Enter your Steam64 ID on a new line.
  5. Click Save and Exit.

Authenticate in-game

  1. Start V Rising and join your server.
  2. Press Esc and click Options.
  3. In the General section, confirm that Console Enabled is active.
  4. Press the tilde key (~) to open the console.
  5. Type adminauth and press Enter. You are now an admin.
  6. Type list in the console to see all available admin commands.

Troubleshooting

adminauth not working - Confirm the Steam64 ID in adminlist.txt matches your account exactly, with no extra spaces or characters. Restart the server after editing the file if needed.
