How to Reinstall Your Romestead Server

Reinstalling your Romestead server resets it to the same default state it was in when first provisioned. This is useful when troubleshooting persistent issues that cannot be resolved through configuration changes alone.

Before you start: Download any files you want to keep before proceeding. All server files will be deleted during reinstall, except for backups. You can use an FTP client or the File Manager to retrieve files first.

Reinstall your server

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Click the More button.

  4. Click Reinstall.

  5. Click the Reinstall button to confirm. It is recommended to keep the Default values option selected.

The process will delete all existing server files, download a fresh copy of the game server files, and apply a default configuration. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the game files.

After reinstall

Once complete, your server will have a clean installation. If you created backups before reinstalling, you can restore a backup to recover your save data and settings.
