How to Add Mods to Your Hytale Server

You can add mods to your Hytale server using the automated installer built into the game panel, or by uploading mod files manually. Start with the automated installer when possible, as it handles placement for you.

Automated Mod Installer

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Locate the Mod Manager icon and click on it.

  3. Find the mods you want to install and click Install next to each one.

Manual Install

For mods not available through the automated installer, upload the mod files directly.

  1. Obtain the mod's .zip or .jar file from the mod author or repository.
  2. Connect to your server using the File Manager in the game panel or an FTP client.
  3. Upload the mod file to the mods folder on the server.
  4. Restart your server to load the new mod.

Troubleshooting

  • Mod not loading: Confirm the file is in the correct mods folder and that the file extension is .zip or .jar.
  • Server crash after adding mod: The mod may be incompatible with your server version. Remove the file and restart to revert.
