How to build circles in Minecraft

Set the width and height in blocks: with the link locked you get a perfect circle, unlocked you get an ellipse. The generator tests every block of the grid against the true circle equation and highlights the ones to place:

(x + 0.5 − r)² + (y + 0.5 − r)² ≤ r²

Thin keeps the outline a single block wide wherever possible — the classic look for towers and lighthouses, with blocks touching diagonally on the 45° stretches. Thick adds the extra blocks needed for the ring to connect edge-to-edge, so you can walk the whole outline and it reads better as a wall. Filled marks every block inside the circle, which is what you want for floors, ceilings and ponds.

Build tip: odd diameters have a single center block, so they're easiest to lay out from the middle, while even diameters center on the seam between two blocks. Use the dashed center guides and the X/Z hover readout to transfer the plan into your world one quadrant at a time.
