Minecraft Circle Generator

Set a diameter and the generator marks the exact blocks for a circle or ellipse, up to 500 across. Thin, thick or filled outline, a block count that updates as you drag, and a PNG to build from.

Works for every Minecraft version, Java & Bedrock

How to build circles in Minecraft

Set width & height in blocks. Locked together they give a circle, while unlocked they give an ellipse. The grid tests each block's distance from the centre against the radius and highlights the ones to place:

(x + 0.5 − r)² + (y + 0.5 − r)² ≤ r²

Thin keeps the outline one block wide wherever it can, with blocks meeting diagonally on the 45° runs. It's the look for towers & lighthouses. Thick adds the blocks that make the ring connect edge to edge, so you can walk the whole wall. Filled marks every block inside the circle, for floors, ceilings & ponds.

Odd diameters have one centre block, so lay them out from the middle. Even diameters straddle the seam between two blocks. Use the dashed centre guides & the X/Z hover readout to copy the plan into your world one quadrant at a time.
