How to reset a player's profile password in Project Zomboid

This guide will show you how to reset a player's profile password in a Project Zomboid server.

Method 1: Remove the Player from the Whitelist
1. Use the online web console or log in to an account with admin permissions. If you want to learn how to set up an admin account, please check out our guide here: How to become an admin on your Project Zomboid server
2. Press Enter and type: "removeuserfromwhitelist username" and replace “username” with the player's name.
3. The next time the player joins, they will be able to set a new password.

Method 2: Edit the servertest.db file
1. Open the File Manager.
2. Navigate to "Zomboid/db/servertest.db".
3. Right-click and download the servertest.db file to your computer.
4. Open SQLite Browser and open the file in it. You can download the program here: SQLite Browser
5. Navigate to Browse Data, then in the dropdown "Whitelist" delete your friend's password.
6. Uploaded new database, start server.
