How to Change the DayZ Server Map to Badlands (Nasdara)

You can run the Badlands (Nasdara province) DLC map on your DayZ server with these easy steps.

Update your server files

This update was released on October 15, 2026 so servers created before this date may not have the files needed to run this map yet. To make sure that your server has the necessary files, you must update this first.

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel and navigate to your DayZ service.
  2. Stop your DayZ server.
  3. Click on the More button.
  4. Select the Delete Steamapps Folder Global option.
  5. Click OK on the confirmation popup that says "Execute this script?". Wait for the script to complete, which should show this:
  6. On the left-side menu of your game panel, click Update Server Files. Click OK on the confirmation popup to start the Steam update.

Wait for the server update process to complete and do not navigate away from the page until you have confirm that this is already done. Your server has completed the update when you receive the "The process has completed" message.

Change your server mission

After making sure that your server has all the updated files, you can now switch to the new map by updating your server mission.

  1. Make sure your DayZ server is stopped.
  2. Go to the Configuration Files page.
  3. Open the serverDZ_By_HostHavoc.cfg using the Text Editor.
  4. Change the "template" value in the Mission section of the configuration file to dayzOffline.nasdara.
  5. Click Save & Exit.

Once you start your server, this should load in with the Badlands (Nasdara) map.
