About Myth of Empires: Sandbox warfare with fortresses, sieges, and armies
Myth of Empires is a sandbox survival game from Angela Game that left Early Access in February 2024. You gather resources, craft from over 1,300 recipes, build fortresses, recruit NPCs, and tame horses and beasts into an army, then fight on land, sea, and air with siege equipment. On official servers your guild plays by someone else's rules and schedule. On your own dedicated server you decide the rules and who gets in, and your territory stays in place between sessions.
PvP or PvE, on your terms
Run full PvP with raids and fortress sieges, or switch PvP off for a PvE world built around building, taming, and farming. Set a server password to keep it private, and add your Steam64 ID to the GM accounts list to use admin commands from the in-game console.
Steam Workshop mods and easy joining
Myth of Empires ships with an official mod editor, and dedicated servers load Steam Workshop mods by their Workshop ID. Your players find the server in the in-game Custom Server list by searching its name, with no Steam browser or IP juggling needed.

The manual way: self-hosting
The official Myth of Empires dedicated server from Angela Game is Windows only (Linux needs Proton or Wine), and it is RAM-hungry: it can sit at around 10 GB with nobody online. Plan for 4 cores and 12 to 16 GB of RAM. No GPU needed.
- Download the server with SteamCMD using the anonymous login and Steam App ID

PrivateServerToolfrom your game install. It is not part of the server download: open the game's local files in Steam and copy the folder next to your server files. - Configure in
PrivateServerTool.exe. Set the server name, password, PvP type, max players, GM accounts (Steam64 IDs), and Workshop mod IDs, then click Save Config to generateStartPrivateServer.bat. - Set your IP and ports. Put your public IP in the batch file's
OutAddressvalue and forward11888(game) and12888(query), TCP and UDP. - Keep it running on a Windows machine that stays on 24/7, and relaunch
StartPrivateServer.batafter every reboot or crash.
After that it is on you: patching on every update, backing up world saves, restarting after crashes, and absorbing DDoS yourself.
