How to Become an Admin on Your Enshrouded Server

As a server admin, you get access to kick or ban players from joining your server. This allows you to ensure the safety of your server and your players.

Before you can log in as an admin, you will first need to set up or know what the admin password is.

How to Get or Set an Admin Password

  1. Log in to the Game Control Panel.
  2. Stop your Enshrouded server.
  3. Click Configuration Files from the game panel menu.
  4. Open the enshrouded_server.json using the Config Editor.
  5. Look for the Admin Group Password and copy or change its value to your preferred admin password.
  6. Click Save & Exit.

Once your start your Enshrouded server back online, it should use the admin password that is shown or you have set in the enshrouded_server.json file.

How to Login as an Admin

To log in as an admin, (connect to your Enshrouded server). When asked for a password, enter the Admin Group Password you copied or set in the enshrouded_server.json file.

If you're able to successfully log in using the Admin Group Password, you will be able to access all admin-related permissions on your server. By default, these are:

  • Can kick & ban players
  • Can access chests and factories
  • Can edit terrain and props in bases
  • Can edit world outside bases
  • Can place flame altars, extinguish flames, and upgrade bases

You can confirm that you have full admin permissions in-game by navigating to the settings menu by pressing the ESC key on your keyboard while logged in to the server. Click the Your Server Permission option. All permissions should have a check mark.
