Hytale Controls: All PC Keyboard & Mouse Keybinds

Hytale just dropped into early access, and if you're coming from Minecraft, the controls will feel familiar. WASD moves you around, the mouse handles actions, and everything is rebindable if you don't like the defaults.

Below you'll find every keybind organized by category: movement, actions, menus, builder tools, and more. No controller support yet, but Hypixel Studios says it's coming.

Movement Controls

Movement in Hytale follows standard PC conventions. WASD handles directional movement, with modifier keys for sprinting, crouching, and walking.

Builder tools are Hytale's terrain sculpting and creation features. Most use the numeric keypad, so a full-sized keyboard works best for heavy building.

How to Change Controls in Hytale

Hytale lets you rebind any control through the Settings menu.

Launch Hytale and enter any world or server
Press Esc to open the pause menu
Click Settings
Select the Controls tab
Click the keybind you want to change
Press the new key or mouse button

Changes save automatically. If your new key conflicts with an existing binding, Hytale clears the old assignment. Check for gaps after remapping multiple keys.

Does Hytale support controllers?

Not yet. Hypixel Studios lists controller support as a planned feature for a future update. For now, keyboard and mouse is the only input method.
